The Traveller who took home a piece of IndiaThis is a story about an American boy, who fulfills his long last dream to visit the beautiful country of India, and brings home some unforgettable memories. Jeffery Benson is a Californian based business entrepreneur whose Indian connections had earned him the title as “The outsourced child.” Jeffery spent his entire childhood at his best friend Rohan’s house. Rohan was an Indian boy whose family had moved to the U.S because of communal riots taking place in India at that time. Rohan’s grandfather used to narrate stories about India. He said “It’s not just a country; it’s a whole new world. It’s a paradise hidden somewhere in south Asia, a place filled with colours.” It slowly became Jeffery’s dream to visit India. A country he had heard so much for many years, yet never experienced. That day had finally arrived. On February 13th 2010, Jeffery had finally step foot on Indian soil. He arrived in Mumbai; a place known as the “City of Dreams”. Jeffery had a surprise waiting for him as soon as he arrived in India. He found himself lost in the crowd. Never in his life, had he seen so many people and so much of commotion, but in spite of the substantial noise levels, Jeffery found it rather interesting to explore this new world he’d never witnessed before. The sound of trucks and mopeds. The sight of small kids playing by the pavements or cows running in the middle of the street, were all new to Jeffery. There was a certain glee in his eyes as he saw everything. It was just the way he felt when Rohan’s grandfather used to tell him those stories. The one thing he noticed about India was that the people were extremely warm and welcoming. He spent the next one month exploring each and every aspect of the country. His trip started from Mumbai and passed through Goa, Kerala, Agra, Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru, etc. In this course, Jeffery visited monumental places like The Gateway of India to the famous Taj-Mahal. He enjoyed every bit of his journey, as he gazed through the beautiful temples to the exotic beaches, the food joints, the crazy traffic, etc. It was time to pack his bags and return home. But before going, Jeffery wanted something which he could take home, something which would remind him of this beautiful country. One day while surfing the internet, he came across a website called www.thebombaystore.com He was taken aback by the feel of the website as it was pure Indian, so full of colours. The website offered some amazing merchandise, right from Indian artefacts and gifts to fashion and tableware accessories. Jeffery was stuck in a serious dilemma. He felt like buying everything. Everything seemed so perfect. Finally after giving a lot of thought, he decided to buy some beautiful wooden frames which had high quality images of Old Bombay. He kept two for himself and bought two for Rohan’s grandfather. Also the temptation of fresh Alphonso mangoes just couldn’t resist Jeffery’s senses, as he saw them on sale. The process of online shopping never felt so easy, as Jeffery just swooped from product to product making a purchase. This experience proved to be a boon for him, as he didn’t have the time to go and shop in the physical stores. Jeffery’s amazing journey of India had finally come to an end. Having packed some unbelievable memories and countless stories, Jeffery returned back home. The first thing he did was, he drove straight to Rohan’s house and gifted his grandfather the lovely frames he had bought for them. Both Rohan and his grandfather were overwhelmed by the gesture. Jeffery then ran home to put his pictures on the wall. It’s been 5 years since Jeffery last visited India, but even today as he looks at those pictures placed on his wall; it takes him back to India- The only place in the world where you’ll find animals and people on the street at the same time, living in harmony. sponsored by: http://www.thebombaystore.com home (6), india (11), india this (5), about (3), about last (2), dream (2), dream visit (2), beautiful (4), beautiful country (5), some (4), some memories (2), jeffery (16), jeffery whose (2), indian (5), indian spent (2), rohan (7), rohan house (2), place (4), place that (3), time (4), time grandfather (5), used (2), used stories (3), just (4), just world (3), colours (2), colours much (2), many (2), many years (2), never (4), never finally (4), arrived (3), arrived mumbai (2), found (2), found himself (2), people (3), people before (2), street (2), street were (3), everything (3), everything felt (3), those (2), those thing (2), every (2), every from (3), through (2), through visited (2), like (2), like journey (2), something (2), something which (3), website (3), website thebombaystore (2), amazing (2), amazing frames (2), bought (2), bought them (2), product (2), product back (2), pictures (2), pictures wall (2), featured articles New Centralized Real Estate Market in Armenia Role of a Missouri Attorney in Work Accident Cases VITAL TOOL TO THE WORLDTB JOSHUA Photography Altering life by holding it still Do You Have a Jealous Husband Wife or Partner The success of bleaching for teeth whitening Fashion Design Institutes Telecom Industry in India At the Cusp of Revolution History and working of EOT cranes Advantages of Natural weight loss supplements Get your hot deals gifts and best voucher codes at newvouchercouk Tips Making Online Money Wireless Emporium offers the largest selection of factorydirect cell phone accessories for iPhones Blackberry and other top brand name cell phones Network Marketing Lead Generation How To End It 328707 per month with Cell Phones FOOD A MEANS OF GOOD HEALTH Miracles that cosmetic dentistry can produce with your teeth Easy website builders: providing the unmatched web development services.
